El Camino Elopement

Elopements are quickly growing in popularity, and its easy to see why.  Elopements are FUN... choosing small, sometimes surprise ceremonies over the big shindig is also less stressful and most times less expensive!  Most importantly... Smaller ceremonies leave you more emotionally available to soak in the moment.  Often times I see couples rushing around to greet all of their guest and making sure the formalities of the day get checked off the list that they barely have time to sit down and eat.  Eloping is in no way degrading the meaning or value of your nuptials.  It is important to make sure you have your closest family and friends their to share in the ...

Rose *In Home* Session

El Camino Elopement

How cute is this session?  I love watching couples cuddle and giggle between each other.  They are almost timid about the session (at first)  don't worry... it makes the BEST shots.  This type of session is quickly becoming a fav.... and they are so relaxing.  In-Home sessions can work for first home sessions or even engagement to anniversary sessions!  I adore photos that show real, raw moments... I find myself moving away from super posed images and toward more natural, unposed not even looking at the camera shots.  Enjoy!

El Camino Elopement

Oh my goodness!  Where do I even begin with this post?  Sierra requested Pilot Mountain for her shoot location and of course I was ALL in!  She was such a trooper and remained so flawless hiking around the knob!  The day was perfectly overcast so we basically shot everywhere we wanted!  Did I mention we were there at 8 am???  If you know me then you know I am NOT a morning person... but I would get up and head to the mountains every single day to shoot here again and again.  I urge you to be adventurous when you think about your photo shoots..   It makes the reveal so much more rewarding!

El Camino Elopement

How is it that I get to do this amazing job that I love?!?  Tell me a better day than chasing a little cowboy around a beautiful country farm.  Sweet Gatlin stole my heart.  He kept saying "You can come play with me in my sandbox, if ya want to."  "You can come sit with me, if ya want to."  "We can have a dance party, if ya want to."  Oh, and I wanted to!!!  Little boys are amazing, and yes he did kiss that worm!  Happy 3rd Birthday Gatlin!

El Camino Elopement

I dedicated the month of February to In-Home sessions.  I am obsessed with this new approach to portraits.  Some of you may be familiar with another term, Lifestyle Portraits... which is pretty similar.  Lifestyle Portraits are sessions which are meant to document your everyday life... action shots of of things you do regularly.  It can be for couples, families, newborns or even you alone!  What is the difference in an in-home session you ask?  Well an in-home session is sorta posed and sorta lifestyle.  Its a good mix between the two.  I encouraged couples to do something different this past Valentine's Day... I personally participated in my very own ...
